In a 1994 study, two groups were used to test the effectiveness of HIIT cardio versus slow steady-state (1). One group was asked to perform 15-week of HIIT cardio while the slow steady-state group was asked to complete 20-weeks of cardio. At the end of the study, the slow steady-state group burned 15,000 more calories than the HIIT group. However, the HIIT group burned more body fat and in a shorter timeframe! Day 45 of 90. #X3Yoga Halfway done with P90X3!! Woot. #whoawerehalfwaythere Yoga was fine, but I need to research the #CrowPosition, because I just can't do it. My arms hurt, not from the strain of holding my body up, but from the pressure applied to them by my knees. I cannot even lift my toes from the ground because it hurts too much. The modifier is resting one foot on the ground, but I cannot even do this. It's a wasted few seconds for me, as I attempt each time and don't get any better. On a more positive note, I did #CoreKinetics today from #CDF, and it was the best time ever. No modifications at all! So, I complain about P90X3 being boring or about the format, but I am getting stronger every day. Especially in the core, which I felt I wasn't getting enough work on that, as I mentioned last week.
